Cats' personalities do not fully develop until about 1 year of age. If there is a personality change after spaying at an early age, it would have occurred without surgery.

We will keep your cat hospitalized overnight after surgery, primarily to keep them quiet and their paws protected. Most cats will be tentative on their feet for one to three days following surgery and then are back to normal within three to five days. We do recommend using a non-clumping cat litter for seven days following the surgery.
We will perform the declaw procedure in cats as young as three months (or approximately 4 pounds). We can declaw older cats, but once they are adults, we recommend that you first discuss the procedure with one of our staff members to make sure it is the best choice for you and your cat.
Yes. The Use of the laser for the declaw surgery has lessened post-operative discomfort so dramatically, that performing a neuter or spay surgery at the same time is now acceptable. We recommend that your kitten be at least four months of age if both procedures are to be done together.
The fee for laser surgery is higher than the conventional methods because of the advanced technology and special training required. A staff member can give you an estimate based on your cat’s age and individual requirements.
Watch your pet for any signs of dental disease including yellow-brown crust on the teeth, inflamed gums, any change in chewing or eating habits.
Gradually introduce teeth brushing with a pet toothpaste (not human toothpaste) as a normal routine in your cat’s life. This may take several days or weeks to accomplish.
Every cat's mouth is different. We recommend having a doctor looking at your cat’s teeth to provide the most accurate estimate for a dental cleaning or extractions.
